Welcome To My World
Hello! I'm Mrs. Leute. I am originally from Rochester, NY. I moved down to Raleigh in June 2003 and started teaching in July 2003. I worked at Wilburn Elementary for 12 years before transferring to Sanford Creek Elementary to be closer to home. I started out teaching Kindergarten for 3 years then graduated to 2nd Grade for 8 years. I am currently a 4th Grade teacher and it's my favorite grade to teach.
I got married to my husband in September of 2009. We have two daughters, Kamdyn and Everly. We also have 1 crazy dog at home, named after my favorite football team, Indy.
When I'm not teaching I enjoy hanging out with my family, friends, listening to music, watching sports, playing on the Xbox, seeing movies, and going to musicals. My daughters are involved in swim, soccer, and tumbling so I am the ultimate sports mom and I love it! I am a huge football fan! Every Sunday you might see me out somewhere rooting for the Colts! GO COLTS! I also enjoy watching hockey and rooting for the Sabres!
I love my job and the joy and excitement the students get when they succeed! My favorite subject to teach is Writing because I feel like it is a great way to see a students personality and creativity. I plan to continue teaching for a long time!
